About the Opportunity

NWS currently has an exciting opportunity for a Senior National Account Manager to join our team on a remote, full-time basis based anywhere within Vancouver, Alberta, Quebec, or Ontario. Travel within Canada is required.

The successful candidate will report to the Director of Sales and will be a primary driver of new business in our served markets, primarily PCS/Cellular Wireless OEMs and service providers, as well as managing one of our key accounts. You will come in with knowledge and expertise in sales and customer service best practices, while being responsible for sales and account management activities and partnering with NWS contractors and telecommunications industry customers.

While no two days will ever be the same in this pivotal role, your more typical responsibilities will include:

  • Achieving and exceeding established monthly sales and call quotas
  • Developing sources of sales leads and actively prospecting for new sales opportunities
  • Conducting various prospecting activities, including telemarketing, cold calling, and lead referrals, in sufficient volume to ensure that sales targets are met
  • Keeping records up to date in the company CRM, providing forecasts and activity reports as required
  • Attending regular sales meetings, training, and performance review sessions
  • Establishing effective business relationships with key decision-makers
  • Developing an understanding of the customer’s business needs and future requirements
  • Collaborating with the team and preparing professional written and/or verbal proposals targeted to the key decision-makers in the customer's terminology, clearly communicating the company solution and our value proposition to the customer's business problem
  • Negotiating contracts, initiating orders, and pursuing everything with energy, drive, and a need to finish
  • Initiating post-sales activities to ensure services sold are meeting ongoing customer needs, providing additional training to new customers as required
  • Completing the necessary documents for the efficient processing of customer orders
  • Providing feedback on marketing materials and products/services

More About You

In order to qualify for this role, you will need 5+ years of experience in a sales or account management role within the IT or telecommunications sector, preferably servicing PCS/cellular carriers and OEMs. A driver's license and a reliable vehicle are required. Bilingualism (French and English) will be an asset.

Familiarity with selling products or services with a sales cycle of 3-6 months, experience building an extensive client network, and a university/college degree/diploma in Engineering, IT, Data Networking, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field are strong assets.

Strong account management skills are essential, as you will be responsible for managing one of our key clients.
